2026 ECSSEN Career School Summer Job Program Closing Ceremonies

On August 7, we hosted the 2026 Summer Job Program Closing Ceremonies, officially marking the end of our eight-week summer job program. Over the past eight weeks, 14 participants worked in a variety of positions, both in-house at ECSSEN Career School and externally with our partner organizations. Each participant dedicated themselves to their work, learning, growing, and gaining valuable experience throughout the program.

2026年8月7日，爱心学校职业发展部在卡城中央图书馆隆重举行了暑期工作项目结业典礼，为历时八周的工作旅程画上了圆满的句号。过去八周里，14名学员在爱心学校内部及合作机构的外部岗位上，承担了丰富多样的工作。每一位学员都全情投入，在实践中不断学习、持续成长，积累了弥足珍贵的经验。

We began the day with a comprehensive and engaging Project Management training session led by Xin Liu, a project management specialist with over 30 years extensive experience. Students had the opportunity to learn about different aspects of project management and put their newly developed skills into practice through real-world case studies. They were also encouraged to connect the concepts from the training to their own work terms, making the session both practical and relevant to their experiences.

当日上午，拥有三十余年项目管理经验的资深专业人士Xin Liu先生，为学员们带来了一场内容翔实、引人入胜的项目管理培训。学员们系统学习了项目管理的核心知识，并通过真实案例将新技能付诸实践。Xin Liu还鼓励大家将培训内容与自身的工作和生活实际相结合，使课程既有理论高度又贴近现实，真正做到学以致用。

Following the training, students participated in networking and social activities before moving into the main event of the day: student presentations. Each of our 14 summer students gave a final presentation reflecting on their work term, including the work they completed, skills they developed, challenges they encountered, and key takeaways from their experience. It was incredibly rewarding to hear about the diverse tasks and projects students had worked on throughout the summer.

培训结束后，学员们参加了交流与社交环节，随即迎来当天的重头戏——学员成果展示。14位暑期学员逐一登台，围绕各自的工作经历进行总结汇报，内容涵盖已完成的任务、掌握的技能、遇到的挑战以及从中获得的感悟。聆听他们讲述暑期参与的各项工作和项目，令人倍感欣慰与鼓舞。

From creating Roblox games for Second Fiddle Studios, to 3D printing models at Arveco, organizing the scholarship program at ECSSEN Career School, building a drone for a real-world application, and answering calls for Canada’s only Chinese Emotional Support Hotline, our students took on an impressive range of responsibilities. Despite the diversity of their roles, one thing was consistent: every student approached their work with care, dedication, and a willingness to learn. It was particularly interesting to hear how many of the same skills emerged across such different positions. Time management, communication, flexibility, organization, self-sufficiency, and critical thinking were among the key skills students identified as having developed throughout their work terms. Whether through hard skills, soft skills, or simply gaining experience working full-time alongside colleagues and supervisors, it was clear that each student had grown significantly over the course of the program. We had the opportunity to ask questions, share experiences, and even play a game created by three of our students during their work term!

从为Second Fiddle Studios制作Roblox游戏，到在Arveco进行3D打印模型；从在爱心学校组织奖学金项目，到在AUAV针对实际商业场景搭建无人机，再到接听加拿大唯一一条中文情感支持热线的来电 – 学员们承担了五花八门的职责。尽管岗位各异，但共通之处在于：每位学员都以极其认真的态度对待工作，并展现出强烈的求知热忱。更令人欣喜的是，许多核心技能在不同岗位上不约而同地得到了锤炼——时间管理、沟通能力、灵活性、组织协调、独立思考与批判性思维，被学员们一致视为工作期间收获的关键能力。无论是硬技能还是软技能的提升，抑或是在全职环境中与同事和主管共事的真实体验，每位学员在整个项目期间都取得了显著进步。我们还有机会现场提问、分享心得，甚至试玩了三位学员在工作期间创作的游戏作品！

To close out the day, we held a fun team-building activity where participants had to guess the employee based on their answers. It was a great way to end the program on a lighthearted note and celebrate the connections built throughout the summer.

为给这一天画上轻松愉快的句号，我们组织了一场趣味团队建设活动——根据提示竞猜对应的工作人员。欢声笑语中，大家既收获了欢乐，也庆祝了整个夏天结下的深厚友谊。

It is hard to believe how quickly these eight weeks have gone by. We are incredibly proud of everything our students have accomplished and are excited to see where their experiences take them next. While we are sad to see them go, we are even more excited for what lies ahead. We are especially grateful to hear that some of our students have already been invited to continue their work in some capacity, return to their organizations at a later date, or have used the experience gained through this program to pursue other employment opportunities. These outcomes are a wonderful reflection of the value of providing students with meaningful opportunities to develop their skills and gain real-world experience.

八周时光转瞬即逝，令人感叹。我们为学员们的成就感到无比自豪，更对他们未来的发展满怀期许。虽然依依不舍，但我们更憧憬他们前路的精彩。尤其令人欣慰的是，部分学员已受邀以某种身份继续参与后续项目，或将在未来重返原岗位，亦或借助工作积累的经验寻找其他就业机会。这些成果充分证明了：为学生提供有意义的机会来发展技能、积累实践经验，具有何等重要的价值。

At the heart of the ECSSEN Career Development Department is our commitment to helping individuals build the skills, confidence, and experience they need to succeed in their careers. We hope that this summer job program has provided our students with valuable knowledge, meaningful connections, and experiences that they can carry forward into their future education and careers.
