In 2023, we invited senior experts for the first time to train the school management team, focusing on strategic planning, financial strategy, and auditing. For the first time, we received funding from the Canadian Red Cross and completed three sessions of First Aid training for a total of 39 volunteers. Additionally, two volunteers were sponsored to attend a medical care certification program. Our Youth Skills Training Program, in collaboration with the Rotary Club, organized a Dragon Boat Festival event to share Chinese culture with non-Chinese communities. We also partnered with Toastmasters to host youth leadership training, benefiting 40 students. A team participated in the Calgary West Rotary public speaking competition and won first and second place individual awards. In partnership with several community organizations, we hosted a series of events commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Chinese Exclusion Act. We established the ECSSEN Ignite Youth Club to launch youth-led leadership training activities. The volunteer team for the Food Delivery with Love project grew to 875 members. Volunteers traveled a total of 157,000 kilometers, delivering food to families 45,000 times. The total weight of food delivered reached 610,000 pounds. The Chinese Emotional Support Hotline received 4,145 calls for assistance.

In 2004, ECSSEN Career School was registered as a non-profit organization in Alberta, and in the same year, registered with the CRA as a Canadian charitable organization.

In 2005, ECSSEN Career School launched the special ESL program “Phone Practice English.” Introduced the  Xing Xing Suo Series projects, including a bilingual school, an arts performance center, and a Chinese-English bilingual summer camp.

In 2008, ECSSEN Career School established the China Sichuan Earthquake Relief Charity Fund and raised over 20,000 Canadian dollars to support the disaster-stricken areas.

In 2009, ECSSEN Career School organized a fundraising campaign for earthquake relief in Mianyang, Sichuan, China. The funds were used for school reconstruction in the disaster area, leading to the establishment of a multimedia education room at Yuejin North Road Primary School in Mianyang.

In 2011, ECSSEN Career School received the government Job Grant for the first time. Participated in the charity fundraising event for the Tom Baker Cancer Center.

In 2012, the first Love Award/Scholarship Award Program was launched and continues to this day. The first travel agent training class was opened. The first special children’s care project was launched, outdoor outings were organized, and Christmas parties have been held to this day.

In 2013, ECSSEN Career School funded $6,500 for the Ya’an earthquake relief in Sichuan, China, to support Huang Siyi, a girl who had her limbs amputated due to the earthquake. Received funding from the federal government’s summer job program for the first time, providing summer job opportunities and training for students. The first travel agent training class was completed. Received funding for the first time to establish the school-run enterprise Feiyang Travel Agency.

2013 为中国四川雅安地震赈灾募捐$6,500，资助因地震导致截肢的女孩黄思怡。

In 2014, ECSSEN Career School started employment training for the first time (decoration, tour guide, finance).

In 2015,  the management of ECSSEN Career School was reorganized and Jilin Wang took over as chairman and principal.

In 2016, ECSSEN Career School organized a fundraising campaign for the Fort McMurray wildfire relief in Alberta and donated over $21,700 to the Canadian Red Cross.

In 2017, the first employment incubator project (accounting, secretarial work, engineering, project management) was launched. The first youth political participation knowledge contest was held (18 teams, more than 150 people). The charity food solution project was officially launched.

In 2018, the organizational structure of ECSSEN Career School was formalized, with an Executive Committee established under the Board of Directors, launched the first youth public speaking training program, and held the inaugural “Me and Canada” speech competition (Children/Youth divisions). Introduced the first Youth Leadership Skills Training Program and Youth Mentorship Program.  The number of donor businesses supporting the Love & Care Food Delivery Program increased from one to six, and the program’s recipients expanded to include other organizations.

In 2019, the social work internship program was established for the first time. The first social work intern completed the internship. The first youth speech training was completed. The youth guidance program held activities to celebrate the Chinese New Year, Lantern Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, and Mid-Autumn Festival. The youth employment skills training program held a C language programming class run by students. The number of donors to the charity food delivery project continued to increase, and the recipients expanded to other ethnic minorities.

In 2020,  Collaborated with the Calgary Chinese Quarantine Mutual Aid Group to carry out COVID-19 anti-epidemic activities, raising $15,000+ for relief. Received funding from the federal government again, and has been carrying out a summer student work project based on blockchain technology. Held the Youth “Future of Students” Forum for the first time, inviting professionals to introduce careers to students. Launched the Chinese-speaking problem-solving hotline project and recruited and trained hotline volunteers.

2020 协同卡城华人隔离互助组开展新冠疫情抗疫活动，募集$15,000+用于救助。

再次获联邦政府资助，开展基于区块链技术的暑期学生工作项目至今。

首次举办青少年《学子未来》论坛，邀请专业人士为学生做职业介绍。

The 2021 Youth Leadership and Skills Training Program carries out activities such as model airplanes, video production, interview skills, workplace communication, conflict resolution, online mutual assistance, etc., including cooperation with nearly 100 other Toastmasters community organizations. Chinese troubleshooting hotline officially opened, running 24/7. Love food delivery project expanded to Edmonton, Red Deer, Airdrie, and Lethbridge, delivering goods directly to families affected by the COVID-19 epidemic.

More than 20 lectures were held before and after the 2022 Career Salon Project to share employment experiences. We also cooperated with Toastmasters and Rotary to help adults and teenagers grow in the workplace, and hundreds of people benefited. The youth training project participated in dragon boat races, organized paper airplane competitions, and introductory courses on electronic circuits. For the first time, we co-organized a Christmas party for the Special Children Care Project with the Heart to Star Association. The volunteer team of the Love Food Delivery Project has grown to 760 people, with volunteers traveling 180,000 kilometers and assisting 47,000 families. The amount of food delivered by volunteers weighed 650,000 pounds. The Chinese-speaking troubleshooting hotline received 1,719 calls for help.
